My roles to date have been varied. I have worked in both the private and public sector with roles ranging from working as a team leader for a large corporation to working with adults with developmental disabilities such as autism in the care industry. In all of these roles my passion for working with people has always shone through.
As a team leader my role included motivating individuals and supporting teams, nurturing the staff through changes, overcoming difficulties, addressing fears and communicating the benefits of change. This role also focused on the continuing personal development of the individual team members looking at short, medium and long-term goals.
As a working mum and small business owner, I am aware of the daily challenges of juggling professional life alongside family life and trying to maintain the “perfect work-life balance”. My current role gives me huge exposure to small businesses, especially those of fellow coaches and virtual assistants, start-ups and established businesses all facing the enormous challenge of getting their businesses up and running or moving forward. I am aware that success is not guaranteed and have gone through many moments of self-doubt myself.
I appreciate the real practical issues that business leaders face with motivating individuals and teams and retaining employees. I can empathise with managing priorities and making tough decisions, as well as overcoming major challenges and setbacks.
You do not have to do it alone. Sometimes with a little help you can find the clarity you need to overcome fears and resistance.
